Today, April 4, at Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee kept working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the Italian Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory, at present 88,274people have tested positive, 2,886 more than yesterday. To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 124,632. 15,362 died (681 in the past 24 hours). 20,996 patients have recovered, 1,238 more than yesterday.
Moreover, today there’s the first drop in ICU admissions since the beginning of the COVID-19 emergency. 3,994 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in intensive care, 74 fewer than yesterday.
Spain’s Covid-19 cases have surpassed Italy as Europe’s two main epicentres continue to grapple to contain the virus.
In detail: there are currently 27,220 positive cases in Lombardy, 12,523 in Emilia-Romagna, 9,693 in Piedmont, 9,093 in Veneto, 5,054 in Tuscany, 3,497 in the Marche, 2,894 in Liguria, 3,106 in the Lazio, 2,496 in Campania, 1,753 in the autonomous Province of Trento, 1,973 in Puglia, 1,336 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 1,726 in Sicily, 1,356 in Abruzzo, 1,201 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, 927 in Umbria, 789 in Sardinia, 662 in Calabria, 560 in the Aosta Valley, 244 in Basilicata e 171 in Molise.
In application of the measures to contain the contagion, yesterday, April 3, the police checked 254,959 people. Those who have been reported after police checks were 8,187, 83 those reported pursuant to article 4, d.l. 25.03.2020 n. 19, 30 complaints pursuant to article 495 – 496 PC.
Police controlled 93,064 businesses: 136 operators were reported and 29businesses were closed.
Thus, they rise to 4,630,583 people and 2,040,055 businesses checked by the police March 11 to April 3.
