Strengthen dialogue and cooperation between Europe and the Arab world, promoting new perspectives for peace, security, development and respect for human rights.
This is the objective pursued by the “Ambassador for Peace” Award, promoted by “Averroè Studies Center” that on May 22 will celebrate its third edition which will take place at Casale Tor di Quinto, at 7:30 p.m.
The event will be attended by personalities in the political and institutional world, academics, experts, journalists and representatives of civil society, who share the commitment to consolidate cultural relations between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
Souad Sbai, president of the Averroè Studies Center will be in charge of opening the event and she will award the “Ambassador for Peace” Prize, while the RAI journalist, Nino Graziano, will coordinate the different sessions scheduled during the evening.
The main theme of the initiative will be Pope Francis’ visit to Abu Dhabi, with the reading of the most significant parts of the document on “Human Brotherhood” concerning interreligious dialogue and women’s rights.
The partner of “Averroè” Studies Center to organize the “Ambassador for Peace” Award will again be Moroccan Women’s Association in Italy (ACMID), chaired by Souad Sbai, who has been working for over twenty years to promote immigrant women’s integration, offering support and assistance to victims of violence and discrimination.
