“Qatar cannot understand freedom and democracy, and deploys agents to spy on those who protest against the extremism that Doha’s regime is trying to export into Italy together with the Muslim Brotherhood, but they will not stop us”. This comment was issued to the press by the journalist and writer, Souad Sbai, President of the “Averroes” Study Center and leader of the “Anti-Qatar Movement”, in regard to the sit-in that the Movement held yesterday, December 5, in front of Doha’s embassy in Rome, on the heels of the previous demonstrations at the Parliament and the Quirinale against the visit of the emir Tamim Al Thani. “Qatar cannot accept that there are many Italians, women and men, who do not intend to submit to the dictates of those who finance terrorism and systematically violates human rights”, Sbai explains. “However, Al Thani is wrong if he thinks that he can make us surrender by ordering his secret services to photograph and profile the exponents of the Movement. We will not give in to intimidation and threats: we will continue our resistance because the only way that Qatar can take is the one that leads out of Italy”. The yellow vests of the “Anti-Qatar Movement” will continue their campaign with new protests and activities aimed at raising awareness about the danger of Qatar among the public opinion and the political world. “From the streets the Anti-Qatar Movement will soon enter the institutions. The countdown for the honeymoon between Doha’s regime and the Italian government has already started”, Sbai concludes.
